Deadline for registration in the IFNMG entrance exam for free higher education courses extended until November 12th
The Federal Institute of the North of Minas Gerais (IFNMG) extended until November 12th the registration period for the Entrance Exam for free higher education courses with entry in the 1st semester of 2024, which will be carried out through tests. The vacancies are for face-to-face courses at the Almenara, Araçuaí, Arinos, Januária, Montes Claros, Pirapora, Porteirinha, Salinas and Teófilo Otoni campuses, in addition to distance learning courses offered by Cead – at the Bocaiuva, Buritis, Januária, Novo Cruzeiro, Padre campuses. Paradise and Pedra Azul. (Check the list of courses per unit below).
The date of the test has also been changed: it will be on November 26th, from 8am to 12pm.
For all courses, the vacancy reservation system, known as the quota system, applies. The IFNMG reserves half of the places for students coming from public schools, part of them for low-income candidates (with gross family income equal to or less than one and a half minimum wages). per capita, which corresponds to R$ 1,980.00 for each person in the family), self-declared black, brown and indigenous people and people with disabilities. Of the other half of the places, 5% are reserved for people with disabilities, regardless of their school of origin, and another 5%, for those who came from Escolas Família Agrícola (EFA).
Registration for the IFNMG entrance exam
Registration for the Entrance Exam is free and must be completed by November 12th (5 pm), by completing the electronic form available on the Fadenor website (contracted to carry out the Entrance Exam). To register, the candidate must have access to a personal, valid and active email account. When registering, the candidate must choose only one course. He must complete all other items on the form, including the socioeconomic questionnaire. The CPF entered must be from the candidate himself (it cannot be from parents or other guardians or representatives).
Candidates who require specialized and/or specific assistance must, at the time of registration, inform the condition that motivates the request, with specialized assistance being offered to people with disabilities and specific assistance due to pregnant women, breastfeeding women and people with reduced mobility. The candidate must request the resource(s) they need to take the test.
Evidences
The Entrance Exam will consist of objective Portuguese language tests and specific subjects for each intended course, in addition to writing, to be administered on November 26th, from 8am to 12pm. Details on the types of tests applied to candidates per course are contained in item 11 of the Entrance exam notice. The syllabus of the tests is available on Annex VIII of the notice.
The tests will be held in the cities that host IFNMG campuses (Almenara, Araçuaí, Arinos, Diamantina, Janaúba, Januária, Montes Claros, Pirapora, Porteirinha, Salinas and Teófilo Otoni) and, possibly, in the cities of Jacinto, Francisco Badaró, Buritis, Gouveia, Jaíba, Japonvar, Bocaiuva, Corinto, Taiobeiras and Carlos Chagas. In these last ten cities, the IFNMG may not apply tests if the number of candidates is less than 30. In this case, these candidates will be relocated to the Institute's host cities.
If approved in the Entrance Exam, at the time of enrolling at IFNMG, the candidate must have completed high school.

Enem/Sisu
Candidates interested in competing for vacancies in higher education courses at IFNMG with the results of Enem 2023 must register in the Unified Selection System (Sisu), 1st edition of 2024, according to the calendar and details to be published, in due course, by the Ministry of Education , in the website sisu.mec.gov.br. Candidates can compete in two processes: Vestibular and Sisu.
